Shirley Rozar Ryals

Shirley Ryals, 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 7, 2016.

Shirley was born on September 6, 1935 in Macon, Georgia. She grew up in Macon and lived most of her life in Virginia and the Middle Georgia Area. After retiring from Ryder, Shirley worked as a switchboard operator at Wal-Mart for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and spending time with her beloved family.

Her husband, George W. Ryals, brother, Mike Rozar, and parents, Robert and Eudell Rozar, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Sharon Carayiannis (James) of Gainesville, Virginia; Ben Holt, Jr. (Christine) of Orange, Virginia; Barbara Guest (Benny) of Valdosta, Georgia; step-sons, Bryan Ryals of Forsyth, Georgia; Todd Ryals (Shawn) of Warren, Texas; 7 grandchildren and brother Robert Gerald Rozar (Dawn) of Byron.

Visitation with Shirley's family will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. A memorial service to celebrate Shirley's life will immediately follow at 3:30 p.m. at Peachtree Baptist Church in Byron.
