On the evening of Monday, July 30, 2018, Shona Ann Kincaid Yates passed into the hands of the Lord at the Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta. She was 49.
Shona was born in Dublin, Georgia on July 16, 1969. She moved to Warner Robins where she attended Northside High School and graduated from Chapel Hill Academy in Macon. After school, Shona worked at Robins Air Force Base before beginning a phlebotomist career at Dodge County Hospital. She was artistic, imaginative, and had a gift for making things, always working on creative projects for friends and family. Shona’s generous spirit and caring personality will forever live in the hearts of all who knew her. First Baptist in Warner Robins was her church home.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dillon Sadler; her father, Ronald B. “Ron” Kincaid; and her grandfather, Dr. James Kincaid.
Shona’s memory will forever be treasured by her loving mother, Johnnie Fay Kincaid of Warner Robins, her adopted brother, Sean Banknell (Vicki) of Macon; grandmother, Mattie Mae Kincaid; niece and nephews, Allison Foltz (Tony), and Jonathan and Tyler Jones, all of Warner Robins; two great-nephews; and three great-nieces.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Shona to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Shriners Children’s Hospital c/o Al Sihah Shrine, P.O. Box 3147, Macon, GA 31205.
