Brian Hollis Orlando Cornelius, 59, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023.


Mr. Cornelius was born on May 14, 1963, in The Bronx, New York to Carl H. Cornelius and the late Jacquline Bernadette Comissiong. He retired honorably from the United States Air Force at the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He was employed by the Houston County Board of Education as a Substitute Teacher, which he truly took pride in. Within his free time, he enjoyed basketball, golf, muscle cars, spending time with family, grilling, traveling, and reading. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Garmon Street, Warner Robins, Georgia.


His memory will forever be treasured by his loving and devoted wife of 29 years, Demetra H. Cornelius; his children: Patrice (Tiffany) Cornelius, Xavier Cornelius, and Ambria Cornelius; his grandchildren: Kyrie and Kari Cornelius, Kinsley and Kaliyah Thomas and Khristan Fannin; his father, Carl (Julie) Cornelius; his brother, David (Janet) Cornelius; mother-in-law, Yvonne Harris; brother-in-law, Sidney Harris; sisters-in-law: Petina Harris and Melba Harris; nephews: Sven Cornelius, Michael Cornelius, Sidney Harris II, John Marable, and Maurice Marable; nieces, Autumn Campbell and Aliyah Harris; and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends including a devoted friend, Frank Ford.


Visitation will be held at McCullough Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.. on Friday, April 14, 2023. The funeral service celebrating Mr. Cornelius’ life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Garmon Street, 210 Garmon Street, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
