Smsgt. Harry Lane Clemons, Usaf (Ret.)

June 10, 1934 — August 29, 2022

On the afternoon of Monday, August 29, 2022, 27-year USAF Veteran, Harry Lane Clemons, passed into the hands of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was 88 years old.

Born in Sharon, TN on June 10, 1934, Harry was the son of the late Jesse and Sadie Tansil Clemons and was of the Protestant faith. He proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force the day before his 20th birthday and continued to serve his country through January 31, 1981. Harry retired having attained the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Following his military retirement, he continued service to his country in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. There, he took pride in being a mentor to countless co-workers, especially military folks. In his free time, Harry loved to travel and had the opportunity to visit each of America’s 50 states; Las Vegas was his favorite vacation destination. In addition to traveling, Harry loved doing anything involving time with his family. His legacy will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 67 years, Elizabeth Dickson Clemons of Warner Robins; sons, 1SG US Army (Ret.) Michael Wayne Clemons (Jasmine) of Warner Robins and Lt. Col. USAF (Ret.) Harry Lane Clemons, Jr. (Vickie) of McDonough; daughters, Donna Denise Clemons of Warner Robins and Terrie Lane Marshal (David) of San Luis Obispo, CA; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
