Smsgt. Hugh Lewis Gibson, Jr., Usaf (Ret.)

SMSgt. Hugh Lewis Gibson, Jr., USAF (Ret.), 69, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at Houston Medical Center. Services with full military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 22, in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1544, Warner Robins, GA 31099-1544.

SMSgt. Gibson was born in Des Moines, Iowa. He was retired from the United States Air Force after 37 years of service and was employed by Robins Air Force Base as a Civil Service Equipment Specialist. He was a member of the Non Commissioned Officers Association. His mother, Bessie Gibson, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Gibson, Warner Robins; father, Hugh L. Gibson, Sr., Park Forest, Illinois; daughter, Rochelle Bernice Bridges (Paul), Florida; son, Gerald Gibson, Macon; daughter, Cynthia Adams (Kyle), Florida; sisters, Carol Spelbring and Judy Leon, both of Illinois; and three grandchildren, Chandler, Bailey, and Kendale Bridges, all of Florida.
