James Miller, 76, entered into rest on Friday, October 26, 2018.
James was born on June 21, 1942 in Maryville, Tennessee to the late Frances and James Miller, Sr. After his graduation from Greenback High School in 1961, James entered the United States Air Force where he honorably served for twenty-two years. Following his military retirement, James worked civil service for Robins Air Force Base until his second retirement after nineteen years of dedicated service. James enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, golf, travel and history, but mostly enjoyed time spent with his family. Oakland Baptist Church was his church home.
His son, Michael Miller and sisters, Wilma Cheatham and Cora McIntosh preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Jean Miller; daughter, Sandra Ingram of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Lauren Chavanne (Chris), Meagan Earl, Kayley McKay (Kevin), Cora Holm, Aaron Hufstetler, Nathan Ingram; brother, David Miller (Carolyn) of Cumming; mother in law, Velma Ownby of Warner Robins; four great grandchildren; Kaden Keadle, Matthew Chavanne, Taylynn Miller and Aiden Holm and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 30, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterwards, Mr. Miller will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Mausoleum with full military honors.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of James Miller, Jr. to Oakland Baptist Church at 1509 Russell Parkway in Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
