February 7, 1948 — December 31, 2020

Percy Skinner Jr., 72, passed away in Warner Robins on the 31st of December 2020.

Pastor Percy Skinner Jr. was the son of the late Hazel Dell Hargett Cook-Skinner & Chief Apostle Percy Cook-Skinner Sr. He was born on February 7, 1948 in Kinston, NC. After the passing of his late grandfather Joseph Hargett, his grandmother, Rosa Hargett, requested for him to move in with her. He devoted his life to Jesus Christ, his family, and serving others while being a shepherd to God's children. He was preceded in death by both parents, his grandparents, granddaughter, Alexis Skinner and father-in-love, Wiley Dove.

Percy graduated from Newbold High School in Dover, NC in 1965 and later joined the United States Air Force. He married his Honey of 53 years, Shirley Skinner on December 13, 1967. He was a Vietnam War Veteran who served our country for over 22 and 1/2 years. After retiring from the military, Percy worked as a Civil Service employee at Robins Air Force Base for over 15 years. He also served as CFO of Heaven's Touch Home Care Services in NC for 17 plus years.

Percy served as Senior Pastor at Yatsa Christian Fellowship, Piney Grove Christian Center and Jacob's Well Christian Fellowship. He faithfully served various Prison Ministries for over 25 years. He allowed God's light to shine through him and on everyone he met. Percy was certain to make you smile every time you saw him. In his free time, he also enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, playing racquetball, and his Corvettes.

To honor and cherish his memories, he leaves behind his Honey, Shirley Skinner; his children, Letitia Wynn (Troy), Percy Xavier Skinner III (Marie), and Camillia Skinner; eight grandchildren, Octavia Wynn (Alex), Raeven Lewis, Anthony Troy Wynn II, Audrey Skinner, Marysia Skinner, Aaron Lewis, Austin Farms, and Princess Wynn; loving sisters, Grace Skinner White (George) and Annie Skinner; sister-in-love, Pattie Lawson (Jessie); loving brothers, Troy Skinner and Wayland Skinner; brothers-in-love, Ervin Dove (Margie), Alvin Dove (Janice), and Bobby Dove (Adelina); his darling mother-in-love, Essie Lee Dove; and a host of nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters in Christ and friends.
