Thomas Ray Watkins, 31, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 2, 2013.
Specialist Watkins was born on January 13, 1982 in Plant City, Florida. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. With courage and commitment, Specialist Watkins served his country in the United States Army Infantry. He was medically retired after serving in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Currently attending Central Georgia Technical School, he was passionate about spending time with his wife, children, and entire family. He always put others first, and was willing to sacrifice anything for the sake of his family and others.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Hannah Victoria Watkins, Warner Robins; children, Summer Watkins, Florida; Kevin Watkins and Sophie Watkins, both of Warner Robins; mother and father, Sheila Lynn Stengel Melvin and Edward Marvin Melvin, Byron; sisters, Dr. Christy Stover and Tori Bray, of Georgia; and Brooke Watkins, of Florida; and so many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 6, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 7, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 200 Draper Street, Warner Robins, Georgia 31093. Interment with military honors will follow in Andersonville National Cemetery.
