Ssgt James W. Johnson, Usaf (Ret)

James W. Johnson, 69, entered into rest on Thursday, October 17, 2013.

Jim was born on February 23, 1944 in Lakeview, Michigan. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Air Force for twenty years retiring with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Jim was a pastor and called the Church of God in Barnesville his church home. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. His father, Joseph Reo Johnson and mother, Muriel Schliske Johnson; stepmother, Dora Johnson; sister, Georgette Inglewright; and brother, Phillip Johnson, all preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his devoted daughters, Christina Judd (Eddie) and Susan Hubbard (Alan); grandchildren, Michelle Judd, Justin Reich, Sean Reich (Brooke), Marie Amerson (Tyler), Megan Reich, Amanda Hubbard (Greg), and Elizabeth Hubbard; great-grandson, Skyler Thompson; sisters, Betty Drummond (Paul) and Marcia Johnson; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to each and every person at Agape Hospice and Central Georgia Cancer Care who cared for him with love, grace and compassion in taking care of James.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private. The family will accept flowers, or donations may be given to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon, GA 31201.
