Stephanie Lynn Haeffele, 64, passed away on March 19, 2026.

Born on April 16, 1961, in St. Charles, Illinois, Stephanie was raised in Batavia, where she grew up and later graduated from Batavia High School. She spent most of her life working in the hospitality industry, a field that suited her warm personality and natural ability to connect with others. Among her many roles, one of her favorites was serving as a bar manager at a golf course, where she created a welcoming environment and built lasting friendships.

Stephanie had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. She found joy in gardening flowers, loved spending time outside, and enjoyed fishing whenever she had the chance. These simple pleasures brought her peace and happiness.

She was a caring and loving person, especially devoted to her grandchildren, who meant the world to her. Stephanie was always looking out for her family and others, and she had a special gift for making people feel valued and happy. Her kindness, generosity, and loving spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents, Dwayne Hershey, Beverly Clark and James Clark; and sister, Deborah Stammet.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, Bill Mulkey; children, Andrew Pfister (Tharen), Ryan O’Hara (Melissa), Josh O’Hara, and Justin O’Hara (Mia); and grandchildren, Carter Pfister, Parker Pfister, Reid O’Hara, Audrina O’Hara, and Mckynslee O’Hara.

A memorial service in celebration of Stephanie’s life will be held in Illinois at a later date.
