Stephen Michael Barton, 52, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

Stephen was born on July 10, 1974, to Steve Barton and Cynthia Waldrep in Macon, Georgia. He quickly discovered a love for music that he would carry with him for his whole life. He was a very talented musician and loved playing the guitar.

Stephen’s greatest love was for his family. He adored his two daughters and his grandchildren, as well as his dog, Kasha. Through all of life’s troubles, he was always able to point back to his family as his pride and joy.

In his free time, Stephen enjoyed science fiction and apocalyptic movies, eating at his favorite restaurant, Mikatas, and pulling for his beloved Georgia Bulldogs every football season.

Stephen was preceded by his father, Steve Barton, and his stepmom, Paula Barton.

His memory will forever be treasured by his daughters, Aubrey Claire Barton (Shawn) and Abigail Victoria Grace; his grandchildren, Nolan Gray and Isabella Marie Powell; his mother, Cynthia Waldrep; his seven brothers and two sisters; along with a host of friends and extended family.

A visitation in honor of Stephen’s life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Stephen to a charity of your choosing.
