Sukuko Sano Noll, affectionately known to family and friends as “Jackie,” passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, at the age of 92.
Born on February 23, 1933, in Nishinomiya, Japan, Jackie was the daughter of the late Tokaze and Masane Sano. After losing her parents at a young age, she was lovingly raised by her grandmother. From her formative years a deep appreciation for Japanese culture and tradition was instilled in her. She became an expert in ikebana (the art of Japanese flower arranging) and chado (the Japanese tea ceremony), traditions she continued in the United States and throughout her life.
A devoted member of the Ikebana International Middle Georgia Chapter #112, she served as a past president and earned recognition as a Master Instructor. When at home, Jackie was often found in her beautiful Japanese garden. She loved nature and enjoyed being outdoors. Admired for her precise handiwork and creativity, Jackie was also a gifted seamstress and tailor. Her life was a quiet but profound legacy of art, elegance, and love.
Jackie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Earl Noll, who passed away in 2012.
She is survived by a loving extended family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom will cherish her memory and miss her deeply.
Family and friends are invited to gather in honor of Jackie on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest beside Earl in a private graveside service at Magnolia Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, Georgia 31088, whose exceptional care brought comfort to Jackie and her family during her final months.
