Susan Harding, 61, passed peacefully in her home in her favorite spot, surrounded by the people she loved on Saturday, May 27, 2023.
Susan was born on August 20, 1961, in Hawkinsville, Georgia to the late Jake and Elizabeth Foskey. Susan worked for Bleckley County as the chief appraiser but also took on a task outside the scope of her job that we are so proud of. She spent much time and devotion as the executive director for AMI Kids, where she impacted the lives of so many at risk teens to get them back on the right track. She had a great personality and was a free-loving, hippy spirit, one hundred percent. She was the life of the party and was always found having a good time. Everyone enjoyed meeting her and being friends with her. She hated small talk and preferred to have meaningful conversations. She loved her husband unconditionally and was hopelessly devoted to him. She loved the home she and Glenn built together. She also had an endless amount of unconditional love for her children, stepchildren, and siblings. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling to the mountains or sitting on her porch.
In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Black.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, Glenn Harding; children, Heather Harding of Florida, Josh Manning of Texas, Kyle Manning of Georgia, Heath Harding of Florida, and Sarah Smith of Georgia; siblings, Marie Spear, Harry Foskey, James Foskey, Debbie Pulliam, and Carol O’Shaughnessy; along with seven grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends.
