Susan Odell Hamm

Susan Odell Hamm, 74, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.

Susan was born on March 29, 1949, in Pinehurst, Georgia to the late Lewis and Peggy Ganas. She was a graduate of Northside High School in Warner Robins. Susan's professional journey unfolded as she embraced the role of dedicated manager at Red Lobster, where her passion and commitment spanned over three remarkable decades. Susan found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her fondness for beach trips and the thrill of discovering treasures while shopping were some of her favorite pastimes. It was Susan's role as a loving, caring, and selfless individual that truly defined her. Family was the cornerstone of her world, and she effortlessly placed their happiness and well-being at the forefront of all her endeavors. Her kindness, generosity, and warm spirit created a nurturing environment that embraced everyone fortunate enough to be a part of her life. Susan will be dearly missed, and her spirit will live on in the cherished memories of family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Ford Hamm, Jr.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Johnnie Hamm, III (Sylvia) of Bonaire, Jeff Hamm-Cox of Kathleen, and Jill Wood (Gary) of Perry; grandchildren, Kyndall Scarborough (Cody), Riley Hamm, Hayden Wood, and Mikalah Wood; great-grandson, Sailor Hamm; brother, Sonny Ganas; along with many other loving family members and friends.

A memorial gathering will be Monday, November 27, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.  A memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
