Susie Mae Bell

On Wednesday, August 26, 2020, Susie Mae Bell passed away at her residence at the age of 88.

A true southern belle, Susie was born in Unadilla, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Carlton J. and Cora J. Scarborough. Susie worked at Roses for many years before retiring as a Warehouse Manager. Anyone who spent enough time around her knew that she always had a broom in hand and kept her house spotless! Susie had a love for animals; she enjoyed watching and feeding her grandson’s horses and goats, and fishing. She was of the Baptist faith. Most of all, Susie loved investing time into children’s lives, especially Jason Grimes’ and Hannah Barrett’s kids.

Her memory will be cherished by her daughter, Suzanne Cadwell of Kathleen; and grandchildren, Carlton D. Scarborough (Tammy) of Ackworth; William F. Bragg (Jonnie Dee) of Kathleen; and sister, Minnie Lee Cody of Daytona, Florida.

A memorial gathering celebrating the life of Ms. Bell will be Saturday, August 29, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.
