Teresa Ann Long passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. Born on March 8, 1962, in Lepanto, Arkansas to Jessie Joeann Coomer Kanaly and the late Earnest Moore.
Teresa's passion for life was evident in everything she did and as a devout Christian, Teresa's faith guided her. She brightened the room with her infectious smile. A lover of board games, she brought joy to family gatherings with her great sense of humor and also enjoyed singing karaoke. In the quiet moments, Teresa could be found emersed in a fantastic read.
Her giving nature shone through even in her final moments. As an organ donor, Teresa gave the gift of life to others, embodying her selflessness. Teresa will be remembered for her kindness, infectious laughter, and love of life. She will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her family and friends take comfort in the knowledge that her legacy of love and generosity will continue through the lives she touched.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her mother, Joe Ann Kanaly (Eliud “Eliot”) of Byron and Orange City, Florida; brothers, Raymond Coomer (Wanda) of Warner Robins and Garland “Buster” Perkins (Beverly) of Byron; aunt, Earlean Rains; niece, Jessi Coomer; as well as several other extended family members and friends.
A memorial gathering will be January 2, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.
