Teresa Rose Brown Meharg, 70, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

Born on May 30, 1956, in Miami, Florida, Teresa was the beloved daughter of the late William Cameron Brown and Betty Jean Roberts Brown. She graduated from the University of Miami in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and dedicated more than 40 years to caring for others through her career in healthcare. Throughout her nursing career, Teresa faithfully served in a variety of roles, always demonstrating compassion, professionalism, and a genuine heart for helping others.

Outside of her career, Teresa found joy in traveling to the beach, cooking, and reading—especially novels by Nora Roberts. Above all else, she treasured time with her family. Her greatest happiness came from being with her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her life.

In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by her former spouse, Stephen Walter Meharg.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kelly Meharg Haynes and her husband, Jonathan of Kathleen; her son, Tyler Meharg of Fairfax, Virginia; her cherished grandchildren, John Parker Haynes and Ansley Chapman; and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

In accordance with the family's wishes, all services will be private.
