Terry George Wells, 74, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 27, 2023.

Terry was born on February 25, 1949, in Macon, Georgia to the late Warren and Edna Wells. He grew up in Jones County and Griffin, graduating from Griffin High School in 1967. Following high school, he served in the United States Marine Corps from 1969-1971 where he worked as a supply specialist, at Camp Lejeune. From there, Terry had several interesting jobs such as an EMT for Spalding County Hospital, water treatment and public works for Clayton County for many years and finally, being a heavy equipment operator for construction companies out of Atlanta, where he ran the road grader that helped resurface the Atlanta Motor Speedway. After he retired in 2010, he relocated to Warner Robins to be closer to family and to help take care of his mother. Once in Warner Robins, Terry became a member of First Baptist Church of Centerville where he was very active in the men’s ministry and Sunday School. He loved sports cars and was particularly proud of his Red Mustang, which he had for several years. Terry was a simple man who enjoyed simple pleasures. He loved children and watching NASCAR in his free time. He will be dearly missed by those who loved him.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his brothers, Mark Wells and Michael Wells.

His memory will forever be treasured by his siblings, Geoffrey Wells (Kathy) of Griffin, Marilyn Tucker (Billy) of Bonaire, and sister-in-law, Gina Wells of Bonaire, along with several nieces and nephews.
