Warner Robins

Thomas E. Stuck, a dedicated and industrious man, peacefully passed away on the morning of Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the age of 94. Born on May 12, 1929, in West Terre Haute, Indiana, he was the son of the late Charles and Flossie Mae Stuck.

In his early years, Thomas displayed a strong work ethic. He installed billboards and did other various jobs in Macon, Georgia. It was in Macon that he encountered the love of his life, Margaret, on a blind date and they were married in 1952. Thomas later joined the United States Army for four years and served in Korea. Subsequently in 1958, he started a career on Robins Air Force Base and contributed 29 years of dedicated service as a maintenance and plumbing foreman until his well-deserved retirement.

Thomas and Margaret shared a passion for creativity. After Thomas retired, they established a woodshop and crafted beautiful pieces of art. Their creative endeavors extended to the Warner Robins Art Association, where they proudly shared and sold their crafts. The couple cherished their time spent traveling, particularly to Arkansas, Colorado, and Texas, to visit other family members and friends.

Thomas was known for his versatile skills and was a proficient handyman. He could fix anything and had a particular fondness for working on cars. His willingness to assist friends and family with their projects reflected his generous and caring nature. Thomas also planted flowers and vegetable gardens whenever his wife requested. Remarkably, Thomas remained active throughout his life, even managing to cut his own grass until the impressive age of 91.

A man of faith, Thomas was a longstanding and engaged member of Second Baptist Church. His life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and a genuine commitment to those he loved.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret B. Stuck; and siblings, Clayton, David, Frank, Fred, Bill, Don, and John Stuck and Ruby Laycock, as well as Dorothy Downey; and grandson, Scott Salter.

His memory will forever be cherished by his children, Connie Salter (Gil) of Cartersville; Thomas E. Stuck, Jr. (Pam) of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Joy Elizabeth Salter of Cartersville, and John Michael Salter of Kennesaw; as well as siblings, Patricia Mitchell and Ray Stuck (Sharon), all of West Terre Haute, IN.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2023, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.  Afterward, Thomas E. Stuck will be laid to rest in the Magnolia Park Mausoleum.
