Thomas Jehu Franklin, Jr., 63, entered into rest on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
Born in Germany on November 11, 1961, Thomas was the son of the late Faye Delores Franklin. He grew up in Stevenson, Alabama, and later made his home in Warner Robins, Georgia, where he graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1980. During his school years, he proudly played football for the Warner Robins Demons.
After high school, Thomas worked in restaurant management with Domino’s and later Pizza Hut before most recently working as a seafood specialist and meat clerk at Publix. He loved his job and coworkers and took great pride in his work.
Thomas loved life and his family, especially his wife, children, grandchildren, and mom. He also loved his beloved dogs, “Nikki, Vander, and Rip.” Known for his quick wit, dry sense of humor, and sarcastic charm, Thomas loved to make people laugh. Though he didn’t always show his emotions, those who knew him best understood how deeply he cared for his family and friends.
He will be remembered as a loyal, hardworking, and loving man who provided for his family and brought joy to those around him. Thomas had a deep appreciation for classic ’80s music, and he and his wife shared a special love for their favorite song, “Lady” by Kenny Rogers. A true Harley-Davidson enthusiast, he owned several bikes over the years. He was also a skilled bowler who played in leagues and enjoyed coaching fast-pitch softball for his children’s teams.
Thomas also loved being at home, relaxing in his recliner with his Frenchie by his side, watching his favorite shows, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and The Big Bang Theory. He was a lifelong NASCAR fan, especially of Rusty Wallace, and a huge Alabama football fan. “Roll Tide!”
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Tina Franklin of Kathleen; children, Tabetha Franklin (Ashley) of Sylvania, Alabama, and Brittani Lindsey (Aaron) of Macon; grandchildren, who affectionately called him, “Pop,” Aden Loy, Nevaeh Loy, and Charlie and Drew Lindsey; and sisters, Carol Davis of Elijay, and Elizabeth Gines of Warner Robins.
