Thomas Gary Jerkins

On the afternoon of Saturday, August 26, 2023, Thomas Gary Jerkins, 68, entered the gates of heaven.

Gary was born on February 24, 1955, in Mobile, Alabama to Anne Ryals Jerkins and the late Kenneth R. Jerkins. With great pride, he served his country in the United States Marine Corps and continued his service working Civil Service in Plant services at Robins Air Force Base until his retirement. Gary was a lifetime member of the American Legion, serving in both the Honor Guard, and Forty and Eight group. He was preceded in death by his father, sister, Melinda Smith and brother, Steven Jerkins.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of forty-nine years, Karen Rebecca Jerkins; children, Angie Dubree (Jerry) and Amanda Clavier; grandchildren, Rebecca Hearing (Dakota), Alana Jones, Nadia Dubree and Anthony Jerkins; great grandchildren, Emmalee Hearing, Nathaniel Hearing, and Grayson Grimsley; mother, Anne Jerkins; sister, Patricia Spinks (Tim); brother, Allen Jerkins and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service celebrating Gary’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation beginning one hour prior, at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, Thomas will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
