Warner Robins – Thomas Harold Bowen, 83, entered into rest on Monday, February 22, 2010.
Mr. Bowen was born on October 4, 1926, in Metter, Georgia. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Army and United State Navy, participated in World War II, and served in the Philippines. He later retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base as an Equipment Specialist. His church home was Second Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Faith Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his son, Craig Bowen; brother, Hugh Bowen; and parents, W.E. "Bill" Bowen and Olivia Warren Bowen.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Mary Virginia DeLoach Bowen; daughters, Pat Boutwell (Carl), Centerville, and Pam Alford (Russ), Warner Robins; and grandchildren, Jennifer Ransom (Kirk), Lindsey Boutwell, Allison Boutwell, Christopher Alford, and Stephanie Alford.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 23, 2010, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2010, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, with Reverends Mike Slade and Matthew Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Second Baptist Church Building Fund, 2504 Moody Road, Warner Robins GA 31088.
