Macon

Thomas Willard Poole, of Macon, Georgia, passed away the afternoon of January 28, 2024, at the age of 66. At that moment, he went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Mr. Poole was born in Warner Robins, Georgia on March 13, 1957, to the late Beulah Martin and Willard Poole. He was married to Deborah Mosely Poole of Macon for a wonderful 34 years. Mr. Poole loved the Lord and loved his family. He had a passion to serve the Lord by singing gospel music across the state of Georgia. He also had his own lawn care business called Righteous Cut. His greatest hobby was the enjoyment of playing softball with family, church leagues, and loved to travel to the Salvation Army Camp each year to play a wide variety of games in which he was usually the coach and organizer. Mr. Poole served his community helping organize the Salvation Army Christmas Toy Shop in Warner Robins along with the airmen of Robins Air Force Base. Mr. Poole unfortunately has had health issues since 2018 when having to get a lung transplant at Duke University Hospital. He fought a long, hard fight, however through it all, his faith never wavered.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Poole was preceded in death by his siblings, Linda Gillman, Ann Perrigan, Charles Poole, and Calvin Poole.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of 34 years, Deborah M. Poole; children, Amber Poole of Perry, Rachel Osborne (Matt) of Macon, and Jacob Poole (Robin) of Macon; grandchildren, Caitlyn Osborne, Liam Osborne, Sadie Poole, and Emilia Poole; siblings, Johnny Poole (Becky) of Macon, and Pam Bishop (Terry) of Fitzgerald; aunt, Inez Howard along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and many other loving family members and friends.
