On January 22, 1965, in Macon, Georgia, Mr. Tony Michael Hill was born as the son of the late Joseph and Marie Miller Hill. He was raised in Jones County, Georgia, and was a proud graduate of Jones County High School, Class of 1983.
In 1983, Tony joined the United States Army, where he served as an Equipment Records and Parts Specialist for the 1st Cav Division. Fort Hood, Texas. After his tour of duty, he returned home. He became a civil servant for Warner Robins Air Logistics Center (RAFB) in 1986. Throughout his career, he worked as an Aircraft Sheetmetal Mechanic Lead in support of C-5, C-130, and F-15 Weapon Systems, Aircraft Overhaul Supervisor, Human Resources Team Lead, Industrial Production Manager for the C-17 Aircraft Program, and Training Manager. In March 2021, Tony retired from Robins Air Force Base with 34 years as a respected civil servant.
During his career on base, he met the love of his life, Tammy. They were joined in Holy Matrimony and remained so for 24 years until his passing. His desire to be a leader to his family led him to seek a deeper relationship with our father, Jesus Christ, by becoming a member of First Baptist Church on Garmon Street under the leadership of Pastor Joshua Kirvin.
Tony was a very humble, generous, and determined man. In 2016, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Project Management from Columbia Southern University. He loved his hobbies which included fast cars, fishing, boating, and spending time with friends and family. He successfully embarked on business ventures which included property management, bail bonding, and gaming trailers.
On Tuesday, June 7, 2022, Mr. Tony Michael Hill gained his heavenly wings after an extended illness. He passed away at his private residence in Warner Robins, Georgia. He was 57 years old.
In addition to his parents, Joseph and Marie Miller Hill, Tony was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Hill Jr. (Mildred); and sisters, Betty Barnes (Billy) and Josephine Williams.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Tammy Wright Hill; son, Tony Michael Hill, II of Syracuse, NY; daughters, Mya Shanice Hill of Warner Robins, GA, Tamara Latrice Wright of Marietta, GA, and Deidra Lanae Wright of Warner Robins, GA; grandchildren, Taraji Hill of Syracuse, NY, Maliyah Hill of Williamston, SC, and Josiah Wright of Warner Robins, GA; brothers, Marcus Hill (Virginia) of Haddock, GA and Tyrone Hill (Katrina) of Milledgeville, GA; sisters, Pandora Jimerson and Tericeta Smith of Milledgeville, GA, and Mona Balkcom of Columbus, GA; also, his mother-in-law Willie Mae Wright of Waynesboro, GA and a host of devoted sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
He acquired special relationships with Jaimelita Hill and her children, Branai Hall and Behati Hill of Syracuse, NY; Bridgette Williams of Marietta, GA; Nina Anderson of Williamston, SC; Demarcus Byse of Warner Robins, GA; Sylvia Williams of Macon, GA, and James Exum of Hampton, GA.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Parkway Memorial Gardens in Warner Robins, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made, in the memory of Mr. Tony Michael Hill, to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, P.O. Box 4319, Houston, TX 77210-4319.
