TSgt. David E. Jacobs, Sr., USAF (Ret.), passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026.

Born on May 14, 1940, in Acworth, Georgia, David was the son of Grady and Clara “Ruth” Jacobs. After graduating from high school, David proudly entered military service, joining the United States Army in June of 1957.

In 1972, David transferred to the United States Air Force, where he served as a skilled helicopter mechanic. During his Air Force career, he was assigned to the presidential helicopter in Washington, D.C. His service took him around the world, including tours in Germany, Italy, and Thailand, as well as assignments at several bases across the United States. David retired after dedicated many years of his life to serving his country.

He will be remembered with respect and gratitude for his service and deeply missed.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Rosemary Jacobs of Kathleen; sons, David E. Jacobs, Jr., Donald Jacobs (Serena) and daughter, Michelle Santiago (Herbert); grandchildren, Derek Jacobs (Angela), Alisha Perilloux (Andrew), Devin Jacobs; great-granddaughter, Journee.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, TSgt. David E. Jacobs, Sr., USAF (Ret.) will be laid to rest in Perry Memorial Gardens.
