Tsgt. Lissy Del Rosario Valdez Mayer, Usafr

Lissy Mayer, 38, entered into rest on Sunday, October 26, 2014.

Lissy was born on January 23, 1976 in Corona, New York and was of the Catholic faith. She proudly served our country as a Tech Sergeant in the United States Air Force Reserve having deployed several times, including to Afghanistan. Lissy was also currently enrolled at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and enjoyed volunteering with CASA for Children.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of three years, Jason A. Mayer of Byron; parents, Manuel Valdez of Dominican Republic and Teresa R. Moises of Miami, Florida; siblings, Sally Valdez-Schubert (Eric) of Marietta and Juan Manuel Valdez (Laura) of Orlando, Florida; and many adoring nieces and nephews, Alexander, Megan and Samantha Schubert, and Sean, Troy and Lawrence Valdez.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Committal will be private.
