Victoria Kilpatrick Major “Vickie”, 71, of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 19, 1953, in Kinston, North Carolina; she was the cherished daughter of the late Arnold Kilpatrick, Jr. and Viola Bordeaux Kilpatrick. In addition to her parents, Victoria was proceeded in death by her brother, David Kilpatrick.
To know Victoria was to know the purest form of kindness. She was the most selfless soul, always placing the needs of others before her own and offering a warm smile or gentle word to everyone she met. Her life’s greatest joy was being a devoted mother to her two beloved children, a role she embraced with unwavering love, patience, and grace.
Victoria served with distinction for 30 years in civil service, working as an executive secretary for group commanders at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base and Robins Air Force Base. Her professionalism, dedication, and steady spirit left a lasting impression on all who worked alongside her.
Her faith in Jesus Christ was the anchor of her life — steadfast and unshakable, even in the face of life’s greatest challenges. A true Carolina girl at heart, Victoria loved the ocean breeze at the beach, the joyful rhythms of Carolina shag music, and cheering for her beloved UNC Tar Heels. Disney World was her home away from home, a place where her heart felt young and her spirit free.
She adored her fur babies, especially Princess and Missy Kitty, who brought her comfort and companionship. Her gentle nature and genuine warmth meant that friendships were formed wherever she went. She was kind, loving, patient, and impossibly easy to love.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, Michael D. Major; children, Chris Stilley of Savannah and Holly Major of Warner Robins.
Words fall short in capturing the depth of her goodness and the beauty of her spirit. She was, quite simply, a treasure to her family and friends — a blessing beyond measure. She will be profoundly missed and remembered always with love.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2025, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
