Victoria ''Vicky'' Avant

Victoria “Vicky” Avant, 47, died Wednesday, June 11, 2003, after an extended illness. Services will be held on Friday, June 13 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church, 600 S. Pleasant Hill Rd, Warner Robins, GA 31088.

Born in Elyria, Ohio, Vicky was a retired insurance specialist at Cornerstone Medical Associates in Warner Robins. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church and was active in the Middle Georgia Girl Scout Council.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald “Ronnie” Avant, Kathleen; parents, Elder Dennis H. and Minerva G. Jones, Warner Robins; son, Jacob Andrew Avant, and daughter, Sarah Rebekah Avant, both of Kathleen; sister, LaDonna Gilbert, Warner Robins; and several nieces and nephews.

McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
