Virginia M. Carnes, 84, entered into rest on Monday, January 23, 2012.
Virginia was born on January 1, 1928 in Russell County, Alabama. After retiring from over twenty years of bookkeeping for Crescent Snow White Dry Cleaning, she managed various Hardee's locations in the state of Georgia. Virginia was of the Baptist faith, and really enjoyed dancing in her younger years. She will be terribly missed as a mother, grandmother, and sister. Her parents, Homer B. Modling and Lula Belle Turner Modling; and brothers, Curtis Bunyan Modling and John B. Modling preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Desiree Wheeler (David), Byron, Joseph R. Carnes (Donna), Keller, Texas, and Tammy Palfrey, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Jordyn Carnes, David Wheeler, Jr., Ciara Danieli (Justin), and Carli Boyles; and brother, Douglas Modling, Mobile, Alabama.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2012 in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
