Virginia S. Morgan, 83, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2005 at Houston Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, at First Baptist Church Centerville with interment following in Perry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, February 6 at McCullough Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church Centerville, Youth Program, 108 E. Church Street, Centerville, Georgia 31008.
Born March 18, 1921 in Harlem, Georgia to the late David Jackson and Willie Mae Shepherd, Mrs. Morgan was a member of First Baptist Church Centerville. She was retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base where she worked in the electronics field. Preceding her in death was daughter, Libby Hethcox.
Survivors include, husband, Sherman Morgan, Warner Robins; children, Ann Watson (Harold), Milledgeville; Donald L. Morgan (Pam), Alabama; James M. Morgan, Centerville; Dianne Morgan, Atlanta; and Fred Morgan, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Sherman Arnold Morgan, Byron; Fred Rick Morgan, Warner Robins; Joyce Hethcox, Columbus; Amy Hethcox, Columbus; and Ginny Watson, Milledgeville; sisters, Hazel Acrossini, Massachusetts; and Daisy Ackerman, Atlanta; brother, Bill Shepherd (Jean), Jackson.
