Virginia Wetherington

Warner Robins – Virginia Wetherington passed into the home of her heavenly Father January 19th at Emory hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

Virginia is survived by her husband Phil, and four children: April, with husband Wade Crumbley and children Jeb and Ben; Monica, with husband Dale Preiser and children Thomas and Charlie; Michael with wife Kristi; and Aaron, with wife Jennifer and children Amanda, Jack and Ava. Virginia generously served her church community on the pastoral staff at Sacred Heart parish for many years then began serving the broader community as Director of Volunteer Services at Houston County Medical Center until recently. Virginia, beloved by her family, friends, church and broader community, will forever be remembered as a compassionate leader, strong in her faith, exemplary in her service and devoted to living a life of charity to anyone she met.

Those who wish to celebrate her life may join family and friends at McCullough Funeral Home at 7 p.m. Friday, January 22nd. A funeral mass will be offered for the repose of her soul at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2010, Monsignor Fred Nijem officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon GA 31201.
