Walter Mosher, 73, entered into rest on Sunday, June 1, 2008.
Mr. Mosher was born on February 10, 1935 in Matamoras, Pennsylvania. He served his country with pride and honor in the U. S. Air Force, participated in the Korean Conflict and retired with the rank of Master Sergeant.
He subsequently moved to Warner Robins in 1983, and held a civil service position at Robins Air Force Base until he retired. He was a member of the Warner Robins Pentecostal Holiness Church, the Seaside Lodge of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Scottish Rite Masonic Lodge of Macon, American Legion Post #172 and keenly participated in the Powersville Opry. Committed to his community, he volunteered his time at the local retirement homes playing his Martin guitar and singing. His wife, Constance Ellen Mosher, parents, Morgan Owen and Ella Mae Mosher, brother, Morgan Richard Mosher and sister, Doris Edwards preceded him in death.
His memory will be forever treasured by his daughter, Wendy Lynn Murray (Michael), Warner Robins; son, Walter O. "Peanut" Mosher, Jr. (Cathy D.), Warner Robins; sisters, Phyllis Garms, Port Jervis, New York, Joan Runnalls, Cuddebackville, New York; longtime friend, Jessie Gladden, Bonaire; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 3, 2008 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Andersonville National Cemetery, Andersonville, Georgia. Memorials donations can be given to Warner Robins Pentecostal Holiness Church, 116 Shi Street, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
