Wayne Leroy Loudermilk, Sr.

Wayne Leroy Loudermilk, Sr., 88, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025. Born on November 26, 1936, in Liberty, North Carolina, Wayne was the beloved son of the late Clinton and Elsie Boring Loudermilk.

Wayne worked for over 30 years at Robins Air Force Base, where he retired as an aircraft maintenance supervisor. He took great pride in his work and the many friendships he formed throughout his career.

Outside of work, Wayne had a deep love for the simple joys of life. He found peace in mowing grass, joy in singing bluegrass music, and excitement in outdoor activities like hunting, boating, and fishing. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished by his family for generations to come.

Wayne will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love for nature and music, and the deep devotion he had to his family.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Sarah Loudermilk; sons, Lee Loudermilk and Bart Loudermilk (Nandy); six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June14, 2025, at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, in Turtletown, Tennessee. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation. Afterward, Wayne will be laid to rest in Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.
