Wendell Travis Harvey, 52, passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side after battling a four-year cancer diagnosis on Thursday, April 4, 2024.
Travis was born on December 16, 1971, in Vidalia, Georgia. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force before starting his own automotive finishing company, Auto Artist. He loved the time he could spend making memories with his family and friends. A true outdoorsman, Travis loved anything that could take him outside whether that be camping, paddle boarding, kayaking, cooking, or grilling. In his free time, he enjoyed watching scary movies and was a history buff who never stopped learning. He will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
His grandparents, Lester Harvey, Iris Harvey Perkins, Roy Johnson, and Eula Pearl Johnson, along with his mother-in-law, Nancy Gail Harlowe, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Teresa Gail Harvey; children, Presley Faith Harvey, Mitchell Hinds, and Sophia Mize; parents, Wendell and Linda Harvey; siblings, Belinda Harvey-Darley (George) and Jennifer Harvey-Moser (Johnny); nieces and nephews, Dillian Sharpe (Brittney), Morgan Sharpe, Seth Moser (Allie), Sarah Morrison, and Sadie Dupree (John-Wesley); and great-nieces and great-nephews, Bryleigh, Alston, Asher, Rhett, Kendall, and Sunny.
Visitation will be Monday, April 8, 2024, from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
