William “Bill” Andrew Corbitt, age 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2026.
Born on April 7, 1943, in Fort Myers, Florida, Bill was the son of the late John Kenneth Corbitt, Sr. and Wavia Leah Addison Corbitt. He was a proud veteran who carried a deep love for his country throughout his life. He was a dedicated member of the American Legion. Bill was a local business owner for many years, operating a local computer business.
Of the Christian faith, Bill was a devoted member of Friendship Baptist Church. Above all, Bill loved his family unconditionally. He cherished every moment spent with them and found great joy in their presence. He also had a special place in his heart for his sweet dog, “Missy,” who brought him much companionship and happiness over the years.
Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia “Ginger” Corbitt, who was truly the love of his life. Their bond was deep and unwavering. After losing Ginger just one month prior, Bill’s heart longed to be with her again. It is comforting to know he has now gone home to be with the Lord and is reunited with his beloved wife and family for eternity.
Bill will be remembered for his loving heart, his unwavering faith, his patriotism, and his devotion to those he held dear.
In addition to his wife and parents, Bill was preceded in death by his beloved son, Pete Corbitt; his siblings, Barbara Jeanette Schmidt, Kathrine Laverne Rosado, Carol Annette Eason, John Kenneth Corbitt, Jr., and Elizabeth Ann Corbitt.
