It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, William “Bill” Brinson McInnis, who passed away on the morning of Friday, June 5, 2026, at the age of 77.
Born in Mobile, Alabama, on November 10, 1948, Bill was the son of the late Robert Polk McInnis and Claudine Brinson McInnis. He graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1967, earned his bachelor's degree from Georgia College & State University in 1971, and later completed his master's degree in 1998.
Bill proudly served his country as a civil servant at Robins Air Force Base, where he dedicated many years of service before retiring as a Contracting Branch Chief in 2005.
On January 2, 1970, Bill married the love of his life, Sandra Darlene Forbes. Together they shared 56 years of marriage, raising three children and welcoming six grandchildren, all of whom brought him immeasurable joy. Bill was a faithful and active member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church, where he served in numerous ministries throughout the years.
An avid fisherman who loved being on the water, Bill's greatest happiness came from time spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a loyal friend to all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby McInnis, and his sister, Cheryl Peace.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories in the hearts of his wife, Sandra McInnis of Warner Robins; his children, Todd McInnis (Kasey) of Macon, Stacey Davis (Jamie) of Richmond Hill, and Ben McInnis (Rebecca) of Cary, North Carolina; his grandchildren, Brinley and Colter McInnis, James Alan and Grant Davis, and Caeden and Sophie McInnis; and his brothers, Ricky McInnis of Warner Robins and Brent McInnis of Grayson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home & Crematory. A funeral service will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel, with Reverend Andy Cook and Reverend Joe Haselden officiating. Bill will be laid to rest at Magnolia Park Cemetery following the service.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
