William D. 'Bill' Shubert

William Daniel "Bill" Shubert, 76, entered into rest on Friday, July 26, 2013.

Mr. Shubert was born on July 31, 1936 in Homer, Georgia to the late Jess and Dolly Smith Shubert. He was of the Baptist faith. Bill retired from the City of Warner Robins after dedicating many years of service to his community as a firefighter. Bill enjoyed working in his yard, tending to foul, and his Kubota tractor. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Billie Ann Peavy (Terry) and Kathy Nell Shubert; all of Kathleen, Georgia; siblings, Annie Hastings, Royston, Georgia, Jake Shubert (Shirley), Gainesville, Georgia; Louise Sheridan and Joyce Shubert, both of Lula, Georgia; and Mary E. Orgeran, Crossville, Tennessee; special friend and companion, Annie Bell, Americus, Georgia; granddaughter, Hunter J. Peavy, Kathleen, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, July 29, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with the Reverends Randy Toms and David Fisher officiating. The family will greet visitors one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Silver Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery in Homer, Georgia with the Reverend Perry Smith officiating.
