William ''Don'' Lawhun

William ''Don'' Lawhun, ''Granddaddy,'' passed away at his home on Monday, June 17, 2013 under the loving care of his family and Pine Pointe Hospice.

Don was born on April 6, 1928 in Normal, Illinois to the late John and Lydia Lawhun. He proudly served his country, first in the Army Air Corps where he served during World War II and was later called up for the Korean Conflict with the Air Force. Don later served as a safety inspector at Robins Air Force Base until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of First Christian Church in Warner Robins.

His memory will forever be treasured by his daughter, Donna Dearth (Rich); sons, Danny Lawhun (Renee) and Kyle Dismuke (Peggy); brother, Milford Lawhun; sister, Lydia Dougherty (Tommy); grandchildren, Kelly Yoshida (Alan), Robin Dismuke, Greg Dismuke (Kim), Kristie Rohme (Doug), Lindsey Dearth, Ryan Dearth, Jonathan Lawhun (Courtney), Thomas Lawhun (Leslie), Justin Dismuke and Niki Noyes (Jeremy); great-grandchildren, Trent Jean, Sydney, Noah and Trevor Yoshida, Dalton Dismuke, Emilie and Ethan Rohme, Parker Lawhun, Savannah and Sydney Noyes; great-step-grandchildren, Sydney and Tamara Morfoot; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Julene "Tez" Lawhun; brothers, Ray, Carlos and Fred; sister, Gladys; son, Fred Dismuke; granddaughter, Angie Dismuke Ratliff; and best friend, Craig Bierbaum.

A celebration of Don's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2013 in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, 417 S. Houston Lake Road, Warner Robins with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that donations be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210 or to the charity of your choice.
