William “Fred” Day, 60, died Thursday March 28 at Houston Medical Center. Graveside services will be held in Parkway Memorial Gardens on Saturday, March 30 at 11:00am. Homer Singletary will officiate and friends will speak. Visitation will be held in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
Mr. Day was born in Rhine, GA. He was veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the Army. He was a retired Corrections Officer for the State of Georgia. Mr. Day was a Methodist. He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Pickern Brown.
Survivors include his companion, Tammy Trammell; father, Robert Brown, Eastman; brother, Harris Day, Tampa, FL; nephews, Chris Day and Robbie Day, both of FL; aunts, Nita Sheppard and Ruth Gillis, both of Rhine; and cousin John Simmons, Beach Island, SC.
McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
