William "Jack" Howard Raynor

March 19, 1939 — July 11, 2025

Bonaire

William "Jack" Howard Raynor, 86, of Bonaire, GA, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025. Born on March 19, 1939, in Erwin, North Carolina, Jack was the beloved son of the late Howard and Myrtle Norris Raynor.

Raised in Erwin, Jack graduated from Erwin High School, where he began working at Roses stocking shelves. That job sparked a lifelong career. After completing the management and training program offered by Roses, Jack relocated to Warner Robins in 1982, where he continued his career until his retirement.

Jack was a man of many passions. He found great joy in yard work, gardening, fishing, hunting, and especially in golf — a hobby he cherished even more after retirement. His vegetable garden was a source of pride, and he never hesitated to share its bounty, often giving away fresh produce and flowers to neighbors, friends, and even strangers.

Family was at the center of Jack’s life. He enjoyed attending family vacations with his loved ones every year, and it was one of his greatest joys. He was devoted to his loved ones and deeply cherished the time they spent together.

Jack was generous to a fault. He was known for helping the homeless and would literally give the shirt off his back to someone in need. A natural jokester, Jack loved to make people laugh, bringing humor and joy into the lives of those around him. He embraced life fully, always finding delight in its simple pleasures.

A man of faith, Jack attended Harvest Church, where he found spiritual comfort and community.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife, Delores Williams Raynor; children, Teresa Hurt (Mark) of Macon, Renee Carroll (Paul) of Warner Robins, and Fran Boswell (Randy Bartlett) of Bonaire; grandchildren, Hannah Hurt, Matthew Hurt, Mia Kilby, Megan Pollett, Ashley Fowler, Chase Cheely, Cameron Cheely, Makenzie Carroll, and Kyndall Carroll; great-grandchildren, Bryson Fowler, Joseph Fowler, Maddox Kilby, Nate Kilby, Brooks Kilby, Julia Pollett, and Jackson Pollett; and sister Mary Cornwall.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
