William M. Brown, Jr.

William Brown, 79, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2008.

Mr. Brown was born on October 1, 1928 in New Hebron, Mississippi. With pride and honor, he served in the U. S. Army. For twenty-nine years, he worked in the Accounting Department at Warner Robins Air Force Base. He had lived in Warner Robins since 1960, and was a member Central Baptist Church. One of his special hobbies was gardening. His parents, William M. Brown, Sr. and Rebecca Dickerson Brown, preceded him in death.

Family members include his wife, Mildred Brown, Warner Robins; daughters, Catherine Ingle (Oscar), Conyers, Carol Stephenson (Jim), Plant City, Florida, and Janet Lester (Steve), Watkinsville; son, William David Brown (Sue), Knightdale, North Carolina; sisters, Erminia Oliver, Mary Frances Vaughn, Betty Thrash (Jack), Joy Ferrell; and ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, April 11, 2008 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2008 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. The family requests that memorial donations be given to the American Cancer Society, Macon Office, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon, GA 31201.
