Col. William T. Gentry, USAF (Ret), 80, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2004 at Houston Medical Center. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 6, in the chapel of Robins Air Force Base with interment following in Andersonville National Cemetery. Rosary and visitation will be Tuesday, October 5, from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.
Mr. Gentry was born in Indianapolis, IN. He was a member of Our Lady of the Skies, a retired Colonel of the U.S. Air Force with 30 years of service, and a member of the Daedalians Pilot Association. His parents, Otha W. and Grace Winfrey Gentry; son, Stephen Wayne Gentry; brother, Harold Gentry, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Gentry, Warner Robins; brothers; Burrell, Paul, Gerald and Sterling Richard Gentry; sisters; Maxine Harrison, Jean Miller, Esther Stevens; sons; Michael Gentry (Margaret), KY, Brian Gentry (Denise), Hobe Sound, FL; daughters; Marcia Read, PA, Diane Hosch (Robert), Dacula; 8 grandchildren; Sarah, Jessica, Christine, Jenny, Jarred, Madelyn, Justin, and Stephen; 2 great-grandchildren; Bree and Lucas.
