William Theodore Zeuner, Jr., beloved father, grandfather, friend, and community servant, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on March 6, 1934, to the late William and Marie Theresa Bruckman Zeuner and grew up in the heart of the city, which helped shape his enduring spirit and strong character.
After graduating high school, Bill served in the U.S. Coast Guard and later worked as an administrator for a contractor supporting the Apollo and Mercury Missions in Merritt Island, Florida. While working in civil service at Robins Air Force Base, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Georgia College in Milledgeville. He continued his career at the base until his retirement in 2003.
His professional accomplishments were matched by his deep commitment to service and faith.
A dedicated volunteer, Bill was actively involved with Habitat for Humanity, contributing his time and talents to help build homes and hope for others. His generosity and leadership also extended to his spiritual community at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, where he faithfully served on the church council and the board of trustees.
An avid baseball fan, Bill found great joy in America’s pastime. He was a devoted supporter of Major League Baseball, especially loyal to the Atlanta Braves and the Philadelphia Phillies—teams that reflected his life's journey and passions.
William Theodore Zeuner, Jr. will be remembered for his quiet strength, unwavering dedication to others, and the kindness he extended to all. His presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy Arlene Groat Zeuner; son, Steven Zeuner; and sisters Teresa Zeuner Black and Doris Zeuner Helms.
