Willie Dorothy Owens

Willie D. Owens, 83, entered into rest on January 30, 2010.

Mrs. Owens was born on May 22, 1926 in Milan, Georgia, the eldest of eight children born to Cleveland and Laura Stapleton Carpenter. A member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church, she resided in Warner Robins for over sixty years and will be missed and remembered for the love and devotion she gave her family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and five siblings.

She will live in the hearts of her husband of forty-five years, Prentiss Owens, Warner Robins; daughters, Shirley Knowles and Michelle "Missy" Owens, both of Warner Robins, and Gail Saucier, Rossville; son, Billy Quick, Macon; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on February 1, 2010, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverends Andy Cook and Nap Granade officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
