Willie Lee “WL” Kitchens, Jr., 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2026.

WL was born in Macon, Georgia, on March 10, 1942, to the late Willie and Elizabeth Ratliff Kitchens. He was a devoted man of faith and a longtime member of The Bridge, a church he loved dearly.

Known throughout the community for his kind heart and willingness to help others, WL spent many years serving his community through his business, Kitchens Automotive and Towing. His work was more than a livelihood—it was another way he was able to lend a helping hand to those in need. He never hesitated to help someone who needed him, and his generosity and compassion touched many lives.

Outside of work, WL enjoyed woodworking, where he could put his creativity and craftsmanship to good use. He also had a passion for drag racing and loved the excitement of the track.

WL will be remembered as a hardworking businessman, a faithful church member, a talented craftsman, and, most of all, a man who genuinely cared about people. His willingness to help others, his love for his church, and the many lives he touched will remain a lasting part of his legacy. WL was preceded in death by his parents, son, Dwayne Kitchens; stepson (Bobby Nolan); sister, Peggy Sandford; and his beloved dog, Haley.

His memory will forever be treasured by his devoted wife, Pamela Kitchens; children, Chad “Lee” Kitchens (Lisa), Kenneth Kitchens, Wayne Kitchens, Mandey Phillips, and Lanna Mallette; grandchildren, Jacob Kitchens, Cierra Huckeba, Kamrynn McElmurray, Aaron Kitchens, Brandon Kitchens, Ryan Kitchens, Coty Kitchens, Michael Kitchens, Justin Bryant, Ashley Kitchens, Dalton Inglett, Amber Summerday, Aiden McAtee, Cory Mallette, Abby Mallette, Caleb Phillips, Dylan Phillips, Nick Walls and Cole Walls, and many great grandchildren.

Visitation with WL’s family will be Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating his life will follow in the chapel with Pastor Mike Parker officiting. Afterwards, WL will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.

For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live at https://www.youtube.com/@McCulloughFuneralHome via the McCullough Funeral Home’s YouTube page.
