Willie Mildred Powell, age 97, entered into eternal rest on May 10, 2026.

Born on October 12, 1928, in Eastman, Georgia, Mildred was the beloved daughter of the late James Eddie Burch and Willie Maude Davis Burch. She graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1948 and went on to enjoy a long and dedicated career in banking before retiring. Throughout the years, she faithfully served as a bank teller at the Bank of Warner Robins, C & S Bank, and Bank of America.

Mildred found joy in the simple pleasures of life and cherished every moment spent with those she loved. She had a passion for traveling and enjoyed crafts and crafting projects that reflected her creativity and warm spirit. She could often be found watching NASCAR races, game shows, and her favorite movies on Lifetime and Hallmark channels. Christmas was especially dear to her heart, as she delighted in the decorations, celebrations, and time shared with family during the holiday season.

Above all else, Mildred deeply loved her family. Family gatherings brought her tremendous happiness, and she treasured every opportunity to be surrounded by those she loved most. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she spoiled them to the nth degree with endless love, generosity, and affection.

Mildred will be remembered for her loving heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her forever friend and life companion, Gene Boyette; five brothers and two sisters.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Tim Powell (Crystal); grandchildren, Candace White (Travis), Aimee Plank (Matt), Cole “Chipper” Powell, and Cameron Powell (Breona); great-grandchildren, T.J. White, Bryton Hunt, Max Hunt, Chase Plank, and Gracie Plank; sister, Rudine Channel; many nieces and nephews; and long-time friend and co-worker, Dennis Chance.

At the family’s request, all services will be private.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
