Byron – Winifred T. Herring, 78, passed away on May 18, 2007.

Mrs. Herring was born on January 11, 1929 in Thomaston, Ga. She was a member of The Refuge Assembly of God Church. Her husband William B. Herring and parents, Elzie Lee and Pauline Harris Thompson, and a brother, Lawrence Randel Thompson preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Kitchens (John Wayne), Lizella; her daughter, Kathy Herring, Byron; Grandchildren, Johnny Kitchens, Michelle Pierce, Windy Luttrell, Benjie & Brian Kitchens and Tiffany Sheffield; Great-grandchildren: John , III, Brittany, Jessica, Katie, Abbie, Taylor, Autumn, Brayden, Benjie and Kayla, Janie, and David “Buddy. Sister, Nedra Bradley, brothers, Jimmie Thompson, Wayne Thompson and Tommy Thompson.

Mrs. Herring lived her life for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as being a mom to her brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be Monday, May 21, 2007 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at The Refuge Assembly of God, Perry, Ga. with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 7070 Houston Road, Macon, Ga.
