Wynette Clark

June 7, 1935 — March 28, 2023

Wynette Clark died peacefully at The Oaks Nursing Home in Marshallville, GA on the morning of Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

Wynette grew up in Wheeler County, GA and married Harold Clark in February, 1962. They began their life together in Del Rio, TX while he served in the U.S. Air Force. Wynette gave birth to their son, Mark and daughter, Kim and the four of them spent the next 16 years stationed all over the U.S.

Upon Harold’s retirement, Wynette declared that she would never move again. She spent the next 40 years at their family home in Warner Robins welcoming friends and family to visit. Wynette loved to play games, solve crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. In the evenings, she would sit in her front yard with her neighbors. She remembered everyone’s birthday, from special servers at her favorite restaurant to friends and family.

Wynette is survived by her children, Mark (Denice) of Flowery Branch and Kim (David) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Joseph Greathouse (Kaylee), Jason Greathouse (Meghan), Grace Rene de Cotret (Allan) and Hope Hulse (Jeff); and great-grandchildren, Johnathan, Lex, Sydney, Maxine, Iris and Evelyn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston White and Rita White Bridger; brother, Wendy White; and husband, Harold Clark.

Her family would like to express their gratitude to Antebellum Grove and The Oaks Nursing Home for the love provided to Wynette during her time in their care.
