With hearts anchored in faith yet heavy with sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved baby boy, Zion Thomas, age 22 months, born April 22, 2024. On February 18, 2026, Zion was called home to be with the Lord following a tragic automobile accident, alongside his cherished maternal grandmother, Joann White. Though Zion’s time on earth was brief, his life was filled with purpose, love, and radiant joy. His laughter was pure, his smile was bright, and his presence was a gift to all who knew him. In his 22 months, he taught us the beauty of innocence and the power of unconditional love.
The Bible reminds us in Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” We take comfort in knowing that Zion now rests safely in the arms of Jesus, surrounded by eternal peace and light.
Zion was the treasured son of Kenisha Thomas and Christopher Woods, deeply loved beyond words. He was the adored baby brother of Loren Thomas, age 10, and Levi Thomas, age 7, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory his paternal grandparents, Sonya Lowe and Charles Marshall; his great-grandparents, Videssa Woods and Amos Woods; along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Scripture tells us in Psalm 34:18, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” While we grieve deeply, we lean on God’s promise that this goodbye is not forever. Because of our faith, we trust that one day we will be reunited.
Zion’s life, though short, was impactful and filled with love. His light will continue to shine in every memory, every whisper of laughter, and every quiet moment when we feel Heaven a little closer.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our baby.
