Cremation with Care, Dignity and Options
Choosing cremation does not mean giving up the opportunity for a meaningful farewell.
At McCullough Funeral Home, families may choose from a variety of cremation options—from a traditional funeral service followed by cremation to a private family farewell, memorial service, or simple cremation without a ceremony.
Our funeral directors will take the time to explain each option, answer your questions, and help you create arrangements that are right for your family.
Your Loved One Remains in Our Care
One of the most important questions a family can ask when choosing a cremation provider is where the cremation will take place.
McCullough Funeral Home operates our own crematory on-site. This means your loved one remains in our care throughout the entire process rather than being transferred to a third-party crematory.
We consider that responsibility a privilege, and every cremation is handled with dignity, respect, and careful attention from the time your loved one enters our care until the cremated remains are returned to your family.
Cremation Service Options
There is no single way to choose cremation. Your family may have a service before cremation, after cremation, or choose a more private arrangement.
Traditional Service Followed by Cremation
Families who want the familiarity of a traditional funeral may have a visitation and funeral service with their loved one present, followed by cremation.
This option allows family and friends to gather, see their loved one, share memories, and participate in the traditions that are meaningful to them while still choosing cremation as the final disposition.

Memorial Services & Celebrations of Life
A memorial service takes place without the body present and may be held before or after the cremation has occurred.
The urn may be present if the family wishes, and the service can be personalized with photographs, music, video tributes, favorite belongings, readings, or other details that reflect the person's life.
Services may be held in our chapel, at a church, or at another meaningful location.

Cremation Without a Formal Service
For families who do not wish to have a visitation or ceremony, we also offer cremation without formal services.
Even when choosing a simpler arrangement, your loved one receives the same respectful care, and our staff will guide you through the necessary authorizations and arrangements.
Cremation and Veterans
Veterans who choose cremation may still be eligible for many of the same honors and burial benefits available with traditional burial.
Depending upon eligibility, these may include military funeral honors, presentation of the American flag, a Presidential Memorial Certificate, a government-furnished marker, and burial or placement of cremated remains in a national cemetery.
Our staff can help families understand available veterans benefits and coordinate the appropriate honors.

Personalizing a Cremation Service
Cremation offers just as many opportunities for personalization as traditional burial.
A favorite song, photographs, a video tribute, meaningful keepsakes, military honors, hobbies, flowers, scripture, or stories shared by family and friends can all become part of the service.
What matters most is creating a gathering that feels appropriate for the person being remembered and the people who loved them.
